Catching up with Christine Alderman, our Credit Control Manager
Having recently celebrated her 30th anniversary with TMD, we sat down with Christine to find out more about how she has helped to shape our accounts department.
What first attracted you to TMD as a company?
I joined the company straight from school at the age of 16 as a Junior Accounts Clerk and I liked the fact that the company was a family business where we could all work together as a team.
As TMD’s Credit Control Manager, what does your role involve?
My role involves ensuring that all responsibilities of the accounts department are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
What are the key skills that you bring to your role?
I believe that I am diligent and hardworking and will take any extra time required to ensure that our tasks in the accounts department are carried out to a high standard. I will always assist our clients with their payment requirements where possible and to the best of my ability. I am also here to offer my colleagues assistance and advice where required, ensuring that the collection of premiums and onward payment of these to insurers runs smoothly.
How would you describe the culture at TMD?
Relaxed and friendly.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy working as part of a team. Many of my colleagues have also worked at the company for many years and so this helps a great deal with our working relationships. I enjoy helping our clients, especially if they require assistance with the budgeting of their premiums and I will always try to offer them the best payment solutions available.
What has been your biggest accomplishment within TMD?
I believe that I offer a professional and committed attitude to ensure that the role of the accounts department is carried out to a high standard.
What are you passionate about?
Ensuring that I do a great job to the best of my ability.
How do you like to spend your spare time?
I love spending time with my family and friends. I am a member and church secretary at my local village church and really enjoy being part of their team. I also love good food, live music and country walks.
What can clients expect to see from TMD over the next year?
We will always strive to provide our clients with the same quality level of service that they currently receive.
