Getting to know Charlotte Atkins, our Claims Coordinator
Charlotte is the latest addition to our team.
We recently sat down with Charlotte Atkins to help our customers to learn more about Charlotte and her absolute commitment to exceptional customer service.
What first attracted you to TMD as a company?
I was initially approached by a recruitment agency, however having researched TMD online and upon meeting with Penny and Rachel, I realised that this is a company that is focused on providing their clients with a great service.
As Claims Coordinator, what does your role involve?
Essentially, a Claims Coordinator is the middleman between the client and insurers when it comes to claims. Generally speaking, if the client has been involved in an incident, they will report it to TMD and we’ll pass the details onto insurers. Alternatively, if the client’s insurers receive allegations from a third party, they will inform TMD and we’ll contact the client to see if they are aware and we will obtain the relevant information to pass this on.
We gather regular updates from insurers and provide information to the client if there have been any significant developments and if there is a liability dispute, we’ll provide our thoughts to the client on what we think the best course of action is going forward.
What are the key skills that you bring to your role?
My previous job was working in the claims team for an insurance company; I would thoroughly investigate any claim that was made and settle it accordingly. This would involve looking into liability, indemnity and personal injury claims by liaising with other insurers, representatives and solicitors to come to the best possible resolution.
