Great opportunity for a Commercial Account Handler
TMD is on the lookout for a Commercial Account Handler to join our experienced team of dedicated commercial broking specialists. Interesting and varied, the role involves arranging a variety of classes of insurance risks across a variety of industry sectors, with clients ranging from start-ups and SMEs to larger corporates.
For the right person, this is an exceptional opportunity to join a long-established, highly respected local independent brokerage based in North London, with a reputation for excellence, an experienced and driven team, a caring culture and a loyal client base.
As each business has a unique set of risks, you’d be expected to get to know each operation and fully understand any exposure before implementing an appropriate insurance strategy. Day to day responsibilities include renewal preparation and retention, liaising with insurers, managing admin, sourcing new business and providing quotations for new business enquiries.
As such, we would expect the ideal applicant to have at least five years’ experience, ideally across commercial lines, and either possess insurance qualifications or be happy to work towards them. With a reputation for professionalism and friendliness, we would expect you to be personable, self-sufficient, well organised and proactive, with excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to develop long term relationships with clients.
In return, we’re offering a competitive salary, 22 days annual leave, eligibility to join the company pension scheme (once the qualifying period is completed), death in service and CII membership and study support (again once the qualifying period is completed).
